New site launch

ABC has launched its new Gift Aid solution, Contribution Manager. The aim of the new software is to help small charities get more of the tax relief that they can claim on donations. Recent reports put the amount that is being lost to charities at between £700 and £800 and the Institute of Fundraising found last year that 39% of small charities don't even make a claim.

The problem is sometimes that the charity does not persuade the donor to make the required declaration, possibly because the donor is suspicious that he will lose something. He won't of course, only the Chancellor loses. Just as often, the charity does not make the claim because the administration is seen to be too complex and the necessary software too expensive. The R68 form, although quite simple, can be off-putting.

Contribution Manager aims to simplify Gift Aid administration and to automate the process of producing the R68 claim form. It keeps track of each donor, each contribution and each claim and, as it is web based, the administration effort can be shared between volunteers.
