Accessibility statement

We want everyone who visits to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make our website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for our website.

As this is a small website, we do not have a site map on each page. We know that WCAG 2.4.5 is often interpreted as meaning that there should be a site map but that's only one of seven ways of satisfying this guideline and we are happy we have done it in other ways. And yes, we do know Google and Bing advise site maps too; we treat this rule in the same way we treat the rule about not starting sentences with a conjunction. Also, we have not followed the US Government's '' guidelines as we find them over-prescriptive.

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.
