Transactional websites

Most data-driven websites in the pensions and HR sector only take data from the administration system - they do not attempt to insert data back into it. However, some administrative tasks require information to be entered by the employee and these can enabled through a website that talks back.

It is important that any administration processes that need to be triggered by such data are correctly initiated. For example, if a scheme member changes their investment choices, it is not good enough to simply record that information in the database. A workflow would be required to perfom the requisite buys and sells.
